Winter Crafts for Fine Motor Skills

It is that time of year when kids are spending more time inside and need some fun crafts to keep them occupied. Why not work on fine motor skills at the same time? Listed below are some fun, fine motor crafts to make during the winter!
Beaded Snowflake 
Materials needed:
- Pipe cleaners
- Colorful beads
- Scissors
Directions:
- Cut pipe cleaners in half (you will need 3 halves for each snowflake)
- Fold the small (halved) pipe cleaners in half
- Twist two of them together where they bend
- Twist the third small pipe cleaner around the first two
- Place desired beads on each pipe cleaner
- Curl the end of each pipe cleaner back into the end of the last bead
- Tie a ribbon to an end to hang it!
Q-Tip Painted Snowflake
Materials needed:
- Blue construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Q-Tips
- Paper plate
- Paint (silver, white, and light blue)
Directions:
Cut the construction paper into 8 strips
- Glue all the strips together in the middle to create the snowflake shape
- Pour some paint onto the paper plate
- Use the Q-Tip as a paint brush and make your design!
- Let dry after done painting
Marshmallow Snowman
Materials:
- Mini Marshmallows
- Glue
- Small triangle of orange construction paper
- Crayons and/or markers
- Cotton Balls
Directions:
- Draw a snowman on the paper (three circles)
- Draw on the face, the hat, and the arms
- Glue on the orange nose
- Outline the snowman in glue and stick the mini marshmallows on it
Tear apart cotton balls and glue underneath the snowm
