Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Study
ExercisAbilities is involved in a research study partnering with Winona State University and the State of Minnesota. The research will be looking at individuals who have brain injuries and how they are affected by exercise over a period of time. For this specific study, each individual will participate in 60-minute sessions, 3x/week for 10 weeks. Participants will have a total of 30 visits, the first and last sessions will be an assessment developed by EA staff to document their progress through the study and following the direction given by Therapeutic Health Staff. They will be adhering to a protocol developed by the EA THS staff and Winona State Exercise Science professors. This protocol provides consistency between each session and clients as they go through the study. As a result of the research, we hope there is a positive outcome for everyone involved in the study and with goals of more research down the road from our initial findings. We are excited to continue expanding our offerings for our clients to help benefit their lives physically, as well as socially and emotionally.
