Social Thinking is a treatment framework developed by Michelle Garcia Winner that teaches the “why” behind improving social behavior and social interactions. Social Thinking is a way to strengthen a child’s social skills and problem solving by helping the child figure out how to think differently and flexibly in any social situation. A camp designed to teach children social awareness skills and develop the ability to understand the relationship between social interactions, problem solving, and interpreting and responding to a variety of social structures incorporating the ILAUGH Model. this camp builds on what is learned in the Social Thinking curriculum and advances their understanding of and practice with socially appropriate responses to challenging situations.
