Krissy graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Occupational Science in 2003 and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2005. Over the years, Krissy has practiced in several pediatric settings including outpatient rehab, home care and public school systems.
Krissy comes to ExerciseAbilities with a variety of interest areas. She is a trauma-informed Occupational Therapist and completed a year long psychotherapy training from the Center of Self Leadership where she successfully completed a Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS) certification. Krissy has extensive background and training in a variety of sensory integration techniques and approaches. Krissy is dedicated in exploring the relationship between the effects of trauma on the nervous system, specifically the sensory system and how that uniquely emerges in the child’s daily activities and relationships. Krissy also has specialty interest in feeding/eating difficulties, having undergone a variety of trainings and certifications including trainings focusing on special/complex populations. Krissy brings years of experience in treating and working with general developmental delays, visual motor and visual processing difficulties, learning and attention disorders, sensory processing difficulties, coordination disorders, functional fine motor and handwriting difficulties. She is excited to collaborate with a pediatric team dedicated to the health and wellness of all clients who walk through their doors.
