Katie graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy degree in 2013 from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio and holds bachelor’s degrees inpsychology, child learning and development, and health care sciences. While she loves OT in all settings, she has a special passion for clinics like ExercisAbilities, where she can work closely with a wide variety of children and their families while also collaborating with and learning from skilled colleagues every day. Katie loves to play and connect with kids of all ages and abilities. Shehas special interests and additional training in sensory processing (via the STAR Institute), feeding (SOS and responsive feeding approaches), DIR floortime, autism, trauma, attachment, handwriting, neuro-developmental treatment,and collaborative approaches to discipline that help to develop emotional regulation, connection, and problem-solving skills. Katie grew up in a military family, andshe moved from Texas to Rochester with her husband and 3 children in 2019. She homeschools her kids and loves reading, board games, hiking, camping, and swimming.
