ExercisAbilities Received Otto Bremer Trust Grant
The Otto Bremer Trust has awarded $7,435,260 in grants and program-related investments as part of its most recent grantmaking cycle. ExercisAbilities is thrilled to be one of the six nonprofit organizations in Southeast Minnesota to receive a grant.
“During these challenging times, our focus is on the communities in the region that need help and assistance now more than ever, and on the people who depend on the programs and services we help support,” said Brian Lipschultz, Co-CEO and Trustee, Otto Bremer Trust.
Exercisabilities, Inc, will receive $30,000 for general operations to provide specialized physical activity and health promotion to under-served individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
“We continue to offer life-saving programs and services to our clients during these difficult times. This grant will help us remain stable until we can be back at 100% capacity” according to Melanie Brennan, ExercisAbilities Owner, and Executive Director.
ExercisAbilities is a physical rehabilitation and medical fitness center created to inspire individuals of all ability levels to reach their full potential in mind, body, and spirit. Their vision is for all people to have unrestricted access to the rehabilitation process including physical activity and health promotion to achieve their goals of optimal health, pain-free movement and functional quality of life. Services offered include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, pediatric therapies, inclusive fitness classes, adaptive personal training and recreation, spinal cord injury and brain injury recovery program, diabetes prevention education, and child and family nutrition.
