ExercisAbilities was founded in 2011 by Melanie Brennan, PT, DPT. Dr. Brennan identified a problem that needed to be solved – people of all ages with neurologic or medical conditions that impacted their physical mobility, cognitive awareness, and overall health needed a place to go in the community where they could continue their rehabilitation after they finished their initial care. Individuals with disabilities were not able to access the same care that able-bodied individuals could and their health was suffering. They needed a place that was accessible, had staff who understood their needs with multiple different disciplines available, and had the right kind of equipment to help them achieve their goals. Melanie set to work to build the nonprofit, known today as ExercisAbilities.
Over the past 10 years, ExercisAbilities has grown into a full-service rehabilitation and fitness facility and now includes neurologic recovery, nutrition services, adaptive fitness and recreation, pediatric services, pain management, orthopedic physical therapy, occupational hand therapy, speech therapy and so much more.
We are proud to be a 501©3 (EIN: 45-5214117018) nonprofit. Your community support helps us provide care without discrimination or inability to pay. Disability knows no bias and is encountered by individuals of all races, genders, ages, and family financial standing. Access must be equal, inclusive, and financially affordable.
